Having to cope with a panic attacks sufferer at home, I scoured all over to find a way out. Here I share with you the way I found and the real help that is available to you now. If you are suffering or have a loved one who suffers from panic attacks this post might be useful.
Here's how the thinking process of panic attacks sufferers go:
1. They are always on alert constantly keeping a watch on themselves and trying to feel within themselves all the time.
2. They long for being like others or for the old days when all this suffering wasn't there for them.
3. They fear for worse and for the most remote possibilities of fainting, collapsing, losing control, going crazy, stopping breathing, getting a heart attack or dying.
4. They doubt if they will be all right.
5. They look back at all the unpleasant episodes and for how long. They consider how terrible it is to go through this hell and they speculate if they can ever recover and what can happen if they can't.
6. While going through normal activities around others, they worry about breaking down or creating an embarrassment to themselves.
7. In their periods of peace they fervently hope if they can continue like this forever.
This is how an anxiety sufferer creates a completely unreal view of their present situation and future prospects and this is the web of lies that they bluff themselves with.
The truth is, it is the bewilderment, awe and fear of the state they are in that is keeping them in this state.
I also want to reassure you that complete recovery from this condition is possible quickly with the right help.
Furthermore as frightening as they are the panic attacks cannot harm you. They are not serious. I repeat, they are not serious.
Panic attack sufferer need not worry about life. It is not a life threatening condition, nor will it ever be.
Who doesn't need to worry anyway? Anxiety is part of our existence and is part of the package given to us for survival. But having to worry about every small daily activity or every time we are faced with a set of situations, places or remote possibility is not what came with the package. This only creates unfounded and unnecessary sufferings.
The intense episodes are so distressing and upsetting that you start worrying about a repeat and by that same process bring about a re-occurrence.
All this is unnecessary, even if individual cases, situations or challenges are different.
Anxiety sufferings can vary in intensity or seriousness. When day to day life gets affected, it is certainly a case of generalized anxiety disorder. This can be mild but if not attended to can grow into a monster of panic attack scale.
For treating panic attacks, psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, breathing and relaxation techniques, diet changes and exercise can all help. But some will find one method better than the others. People get frustrated because all this takes a bit of time just as your condition has taken time to develop.
Frustrated, people take to medication because drug can give some immediate relief. However even medication needs about 8 weeks to work fully and it has unwelcome side-effects and also cannot be stopped abruptly.
Fact is science is not yet fully sure of how it all really happens or a sure solution that will always work.
However, there are hundreds of sufferers who have taken to methods which are relatively new and which have been integrated into a program which sufferers can easily follow and start benefiting from almost immediately.
The most successful of these programs seem to be extremely successful and has helped more than 27,000 sufferers across the world.
You can have a look at what is on offer to see if you like it. Here's the link:
